Malaysia had an unsuccessful World Cup of Darts in 2024, finishing last in their group after losses to Canada and Croatia. This year, we will see a completely new duo in the form of Tengku Shah and Tan Jenn Ming.
The hard-to-scout Malaysian team is placed in Group F alongside Denmark and Canada. Their first match will be against Canada, a team that narrowly beat Malaysia 4-3 in last year’s tournament. It looks likely that Malaysia will need to win this match, which is definitely possible but will be a tough challenge for Shah and Jenn Ming.
If the team manages to advance from the group stage, it will be considered a successful tournament.
