Gibraltar will face a tough journey in this year’s World Cup of Darts, but one advantage is that they already played a decisive group stage match last year. Can they bring that experience into this year’s tournament?

Players: Craig Galliano / Justin Hewitt

Craig Galliano and Justin Hewitt form Gibraltar’s team for the second consecutive year. Last year, they were in Sweden’s group and won their first match against Spain. This meant a direct group final against Sweden. That year, they were no match and lost clearly 4-1. Gibraltar has been drawn into Group D alongside China and Ireland. Gibraltar’s opening match will be against Ireland on Thursday, June 12. Much will be decided in that match, and if they manage an upset in the opener, the path to the round of 16 will be open, as we consider them favorites in the match against China.
