The European Championship 2025 continued on Friday night in Dortmund, and what a night it was. Day two delivered elite darts from three of the sport’s biggest names – Luke Humphries, Luke Littler and Nathan Aspinall.
World number one Luke Humphries showed exactly why he’s considered the most complete player on the planet, demolishing Krzysztof Ratajski 6–0 with an average just shy of 110 and a spectacular 161 checkout. He’ll face Cameron Menzies next, after the Scot impressed by defeating Gary Anderson 6–3.
Teen sensation Luke Littler continued to amaze, beating Raymond van Barneveld 6–1 with maturity beyond his years. Despite an early scare, Littler took control and sealed the win with a classy 115 finish. He’ll now meet veteran James Wade in round two.
Nathan Aspinall also impressed, cruising past Rob Cross 6–1 with a ton-plus average and four 180s. The Stockport star has been in strong form all season and looks primed for a deep run in Dortmund.
Friday’s action confirmed that the big names are ready for the business end of the tournament. Humphries produced one of the performances of the year, Littler looked every bit a future world champion, and Aspinall proved once again that his fighting spirit makes him dangerous on any stage.
