What could possibly stop England from defending their title? The duo Humphries / Littler enters this year’s tournament as the clear top favorites.

Players: Luke Humphries / Luke Littler
Ranking: 1

Rarely has a pair been as big favorites as England is going into this year’s World Cup of Darts. The world’s two best players will now team up, and anything less than gold would be a major disappointment for both. The only real question mark is that Humphries prefers to leave doubles 16 and 8, while Littler tends to avoid aiming for those finishes. Littler is making his World Cup of Darts debut, but given his experience on other big stages, this should pose no problem.

England boasts the highest overall level of any country in this year’s tournament. If anyone is going to beat this English team, we believe the best chance will be in England’s very first match.

In last year’s tournament, where Luke Humphries teamed with Michael Smith, their worst performance came in the round of 16. After that, they were never threatened and won the final convincingly against Austria with a score of 10-6.
